Badvel is a town in Kadapa district, Andhra Pradesh, in the Rayalaseema region. The countryside around it is largely dry and rain-fed — the kind of land where hardy millets and pulses have been grown for generations because they need so little water.
Close to the fields
Our packing unit is in Badvel, close to the farming families we buy from. The harvest arrives here straight from the village.
What happens at the unit
- Receiving — each harvest is weighed against its purchase order and given its own Batch ID
- Inspection — a 7-point quality check: appearance, cleanliness, foreign particles, pests, moisture, smell and packaging
- Cleaning — dust, small stones and husk are removed, and grain is dried where needed
- Packing — weighed to the exact net quantity, sealed and labelled
- Dispatch — your order is checked, labelled and handed to the courier
Why it matters to you
Because every batch is recorded from the farmer to the pack, we know where your food came from and who packed it. If something is ever not right, we can trace it and make it right.
